Joe Giddey, ‘cello, studied at Birmingham Conservatoire with Michal Kaznowski and Andrew Fuller and is now an established freelance performer and principal cellist with various classical ensembles and orchestras, performing with the New English Concert Orchestra, New English String Ensemble, London Gala Orchestra, Sussex Symphony Orchestra, Birmingham Festival Orchestra.
Joe has also made many recordings as a session musician and is currently playing with The Mummers, using a Violectra 5 string electric cello. Recent television performances include supporting Katherine Jenkins. He has travelled extensively, performing and teaching in Brazil where he played with the Recife Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra de Camera, and continues to play in The Realta String Quartet.
