Jamie Kenny – String Bass

James Kenny, from Edinburgh, initially learnt to play piano with his mother, a piano teacher. At age 14, James became a pupil at Edinburgh City Music School where he studied double bass, piano and composition. He is currently studying at the Royal College of Music with Thomas Martin and has worked with conductors such as Vladimir Jurowski, Bernard Haitink and Vladimir Ashkenazy. He has also played with soloists such as John Wallace, Nicola Benedetti and Guy Barker.
